The Life Group PTMs develop strategic plans and direction for the ministry, provide pastoral care, as well as equip & develop the Community that he/she oversees. This includes bereavement and hospitalisation support, and visits to the members and their families wherever necessary. They directly oversee the Community Leaders (CL) by providing support, encouragement, and pastoral care that may include mentoring/coaching conversations.

The Community Leader’s role is to shepherd a group of Group Leaders (GL) and provide them with pastoral care and discipleship. They have direct oversight and ministry with the GLs.
The Community Leader guides groups in aligning with the church’s vision, regularly meeting with Group Leaders (GLs) for mentorship and accountability. They encourage GLs’ participation in church activities, attend CL meetings, and conduct biannual visits to groups. The CL supports GLs in providing care for members during various life situations and submits quarterly updates to the LG Committee. Actively identifying potential leaders and disciples is a key aspect of their role. In essence, the CL plays a crucial role in fostering community, spiritual growth, and adherence to the church’s vision.
The GL’s role is to guide their assigned Life Group to grow in the areas of F.A.I.T.H. (Fellowship, Adoration, Involvement, Transformation, and Harvest).
They oversee the group’s spiritual life by:
Providing pastoral care to members alongside their core members, and
Planning for the year (click here for a sample template)
Community Leaders and Group Leaders are not expected to be professional counsellors, social workers, or Bible teachers. Leaders will be equipped with basic counselling or facilitation skills.
Should there be challenging issues beyond their capacity, it is recommended they work alongside their CL/LG PTM to manage it.
