Faith Kindergarten first opened its doors in 1967, a year after Faith Methodist Church was founded, as part of the vision of the late Rev T C Nga, Faith Methodist Church’s founding Pastor. Faith Kindergarten’s objective was to bring affordable pre-school education to the Queenstown community and be an outreach arm of the church. From there, its enrolment grew steadily, and Faith Kindergarten soon became one of the better-known pre-school centres in the west of Singapore.
Faith Kindergarten was a joint ministry of Faith Methodist Church and Queenstown Chinese Methodist Church after the church building was redeveloped in 2003. As of 2019, Faith Kindergarten was part of the ministry arm of Faith Methodist Church.
In 2020, Faith Kindergarten was among five Methodist preschools consolidated by the Methodist Church in Singapore under a single entity – the Methodist Preschool Services Pte Ltd (MPSPL). Under the new management, the kindergarten has now been renamed Faith Methodist Preschool. Its mission is to provide holistic and quality preschool education, anchored on Christian values, in a nurturing environment to enable all children to maximise their potential.
Faith Methodist Preschool offers a distinctive holistic preschool curriculum that focuses on academic excellence and character development. A team of dedicated staff and teachers work closely together to teach and nurture every child to be a person of good character who is ready for the future, with the mindset of an Explorer, an Innovator, and an Entrepreneur.
