AAB is FMC’s outreach effort to the residents in the community around us with particular emphasis in the Dawson and Tanglin Halt area.
AAB’s commitment is to visit the residents 4 times a year over Chinese New Year, Easter, Church Anniversary and Christmas. OSC usually provides gifts or flyers or both for our volunteers to bring with them when visiting to help break the ice and invite the residents to our evangelistic services/events/programs. Flyers are to FMC English Service or Mandarin Harvest Service and also to FaithActs Community events.
Church members “adopt” a block or a few HDB units and befriend and reach out to its residents over an extended period of time.
Similar to AAB, Life Groups “adopt” a family, and make visits to these residents and help them in practical ways. Due to its nature, this initiative is only open to Life Groups instead of individuals.
Church members serve and befriend the community by delivering food packs to needy residents in selected neighbouring districts.
